Climate Action and Net Zero Ambitions

Committed to achieving net zero emissions across our operations and value chain

Our Net Zero Journey

AEGIS LUBE is working to achieve net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from our operations by 2050. We are also targeting near zero methane emissions and we will pursue interim reductions of 20 percent by 2025 and up to 50 percent by 2030 compared with a 2019 baseline.

Operational Net Zero

AEGIS LUBE is working to achieve net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions from our operations by 2050. We are also targeting near zero methane emissions and we will pursue interim reductions of 20 percent by 2025 and up to 50 percent by 2030 compared with a 2019 baseline.

Net Zero Across the Value Chain

We are committed to reducing the carbon intensity of the full lifecycle of our products and achieving net zero by 2050. This ambition covers production, distribution, and end use together with customer partnerships for lower-carbon solutions.

Environmental Stewardship and Biodiversity

Protecting ecosystems and strengthening resilience through conservation partnerships

Ecosystem Restoration

We will identify and support the restoration of ecosystems and endangered species impacted by our operations. By working with local experts and non-governmental organizations, we aim to restore biodiversity and strengthen resilience.

Conservation Partnerships

We will support local conservation initiatives such as reef rehabilitation and watershed protection programs. These efforts combine scientific research together with community participation to safeguard the natural environment.

Water Stewardship

In regions that face water stress, we will reduce net freshwater consumption. Our strategy focuses on responsible withdrawal and efficient use of water together with treatment and reuse where possible.

Waste Reduction and Circularity

AEGIS LUBE promotes circular economy practices that include re-refined base oils, extended equipment life, and optimized packaging materials. These steps reduce waste and encourage responsible consumption.

Our Sustainability Journey

From community empowerment to technological innovation

Our Net Zero Journey

Community Engagement: We are committed to empowering communities by creating education programs that demonstrate how energy and oil products can be used responsibly and sustainably. Through outreach activities, we will raise awareness on recycling and sustainable fuels.
Supporting Social Innovation: We will fund local innovators and startups that develop solutions for clean technology, energy access, and environmental resilience. This strengthens both community livelihoods and the local economy.

Innovation and Circular Technology

Low Carbon Product Development: We will invest in the development of low-carbon products including sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, and biofuels. These innovations will gradually reduce the carbon intensity of our product portfolio.
Circular Technologies and Carbon Capture: AEGIS LUBE is also exploring technologies such as carbon capture, utilization and storage, as well as sustainable feedstocks like pyrolysis oil and nature-based carbon offsets. These measures complement our emissions reduction strategy.

Transparency, Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement

Clear Metrics and Reporting: We will publish an annual Sustainability Report and ESG datasheets that share progress on emission reduction, water management, biodiversity, and social impact.
Stakeholder Involvement: We will actively engage employees, communities, investors, regulators, and civil society organizations in building and improving our sustainability framework.
